"Lunar New Year" - Green Tea and Sake Bonbon
This year marks the Year of the Rabbit, and we're celebrating Lunar New Year with a very special chocolate. We love matcha tea, but we thought, what if we added Sake to it? The results, were absolutely epic.
A Unique Blend of Matcha Tea: It starts with the right tea, that's prepared in-house from a traditional Japanese preparation technique. We then prepare a chocolate ganache infused with this tea, steeped with rich flavor but with a creamy consistency.
Aroma: With freshly shaved coconut, your nose will first be introduce to the tropical fragrance. On the first bite, the oolong tea adds a new dimension with subtle fruit notes around a fresh floral taste.
Recommended Pairings: With the personality of this chocolate, this is a great selection for rum-based cocktails, especially Mai Tai.
Bonbon Design: As part of our "Chocolate as an Art" series, we were very much inspired by Daoism, especially this age-old pursuit of yin and yang, good and bad. It reminded us of the dark fragrance of the matcha with the upswing of deep chocolate notes. A visual cue to help find our inner peace.
