Introducing "the Fourth Space"
Starbucks introduced the idea of the "third place" - a space between work and home where connection could thrive. At Marsatta, we’ve stumbled upon something more personal, more surprising. We call it the Fourth Space.
The Fourth Space isn’t tied to a single place. It’s built on the belief that chocolate can create a sense of belonging, even when you’re a thousand miles away. A shared bar, a handwritten note, or a taste that reminds you of home can carry meaning across any distance.
But to us, chocolate is more than comfort. It’s a way of uncovering stories. We often say we feel like investigative journalists: chasing down flavors, exploring cultures, and uncovering forgotten memories, all through the lens of chocolate. Most of our work begins in Los Angeles, where every street, neighborhood, and flavor holds a deeper narrative. Whether it’s a nod to an immigrant community, a nod to local architecture, or a flavor in the moment, each bar is its own kind of story.
The Fourth Space is where those stories come to life and get shared. It’s where chocolate becomes a way to connect with something larger than yourself. A ritual, a memory, a moment passed between people who may never meet in person, but feel something together all the same.
This is not just chocolate. It’s storytelling you can taste.

Our journey to harvest pure ocean salt. The way nature intended.
Salt is everywhere. But pure salt? That’s something else entirely.
Most of what you find on store shelves has been stripped down, overprocessed, and flattened of character. We started asking: what if we could go straight to the source?
So we did.
We packed up and drove nearly two hours to a stretch of coastline so untouched it felt like it had been waiting for us. From that beach, we began our own harvesting process — carefully collecting ocean water, then using our proprietary distilling method to transform it into a flaky, delicate salt. The result is something special. Clean, crisp, and just a little sweet, with the subtle depth of the Pacific still lingering in every crystal.
This isn’t just finishing salt. This is a finishing touch to a story, one that starts with the sea and ends on your tongue.

Bianca Bustamante x Marsatta Chocolate
The Ube Experience
When we invited Bianca Bustamante into the Marsatta kitchen, it wasn’t just to put her name on a bar. It was to create something meaningful together. Bianca brings a fierce energy and focus to everything she does, and we wanted that spirit to come through in the chocolate.
We started with a conversation about identity, culture, and flavor. Ube rose to the top almost immediately. It’s vibrant, nostalgic, and deeply tied to Filipino heritage. It reminded Bianca of home. To balance its richness, we added organic coconut sugar, which brought a light, tropical sweetness and a clean finish.
The process was hands-on. Bianca tasted, shaped, and refined the bar with us, every step of the way. This wasn’t a celebrity collaboration. It was a shared experience, built on trust, curiosity, and a deep respect for craft.
The result is a bar that feels personal. It tells a story about roots, ambition, and the power of coming together over something as simple, and as meaningful... as chocolate.

Tyler Blanchard x Marsatta Chocolate
The $100 Chocolate Bar
When YouTuber Tyler Blanchard, known for his bold taste and over a million followers, came to us with a challenge, we asked ourselves one question. What if we took every limit off the table? No budget, no shortcuts, just the pursuit of something unforgettable.
The result was a bar made with ultra-rare cacao, fresh Italian truffle, and our house-aged chocolate. Crafted entirely by hand, it wasn’t just about luxury. It was about creating a moment that stops you in your tracks. One bar, one experience, made for someone who’s seen it all. And still wanted more.
